Bush faces Katrina
March 2, 2006 at 3:32 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 1 CommentControversery now lays between whether or not the Presdient was warned about Hurricane Katrina. Was enough preparation for the storm done? Were residents given the option to evacuate to a safer place? These questions all remain unanswered, but now the people want to know.
The Times Union reported on this story, uncovering what the Associated Press revealed about the whole process. The President did not only receive one breifing, like it was portrayed, but he received multiple briefings. He knew everything there was to know at all times.
So then why is there still so much damage left behind? The President didn’t take the necessary steps in providing a safe place for residents, and some say underestimated the strengh of Katrina.
Now that the Presidents preparation techniques, or lack there of, and briefings are out in the open, residents of the hit areas want to know why nothing was done. What was the procatination for? They will continue asking their questions, and demand for answers until they hear what they want to hear.

Again, beware spelling and punctuation errors. These things lead to difficult and choppy reading.
Beware of lying all the blame on the president. FEMA, the mayor, the governor and more all share in the blame on this one, and this story makes that pretty clear.
